how do I write an equation for: slope:8, y-intercept -3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in slope-intercept form, the general equation is y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept. so your equation would be y = 8x + 3 (unless your y-intercept is actually -3.. i can't tell from your question; if it is -3, your equation is y = 8x - 3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=mx+b m=slope b=y=intercept therefore y=8x-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its -3 because negitive times a negitive is a positive
