Can someone help me on a math problem???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its this {3x-2y=7 {x+3y=-5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the two braces are actually one full one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There are an infinite number of solutions. Just put it in y= form and graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you show me the steps????

You can solve this in two easy ways: substitution or elimination. I will demonstrate the substitution method here. First solve one of the equations for either x or y. I choose y. 3x-2y=7 ----------> -2y=7-3x ----------> y=(7-3x)/(-2) ----------> y=(3x-7)/2 Now we take our y and plug it into the second equation and solve for x: x +3((3x-7)/2)=-5 ----------> 2x + 9x - 21 = -10 ----------> 11x =11 ----------> x=1 now plug in x=1 into an equation to find the value of y: 3(1)-2y=7 ----------> 2y=-4 ----------> y=-2

Hope this is good understand.
