OpenStudy (sandra):

the question is the numbers 1-500

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ihe meant 1 to 500 @myininaya

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@myininaya He meant in the range 1,2,...,500

myininaya (myininaya):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

200 times right?

OpenStudy (pokemon23):

bob96 can you help me in math?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

bob06, solution?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@pokemon sure but make it fast ;)

OpenStudy (sriram):

look from 1 to 100 10 digits end wid 1 (,1,11,21,31...91 n 10 srart wid 1 (10,11,12...19) hence 20 1,s from 1to 99 same for 200 to 299 and 300 to 399 & 400 to 500 bt100 to 199 20 ones wid 100 ones in hundreds place hence 20*5 +100=200 previous ans wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good answer, but you got a solution without using computers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I've got a solution using computers :-D There's also an analytical solution without computers.

OpenStudy (sriram):

yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sriram is right

OpenStudy (anonymous):
