write a polynomial function that has the zero's 5i and -5i

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

if 5i is a zero then a factor of the polynomial is (x-5i) if -5i is a zero then a factor of the polynomial is (x+5i) Now multiply them together: (remember i*i = -1) (x -5i) times (x+5i)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be 125?

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

Your answer is going to be a polynomial like x^2 + c where c is some constant.
