can you help me ?

OpenStudy (chriss):

your units are mixed. the question is in inches and the answer is in cm. However, the area of the circle is going to be 4pi And the answer to the question is B

can you answer another question for me ?

Determine the degree measure of arc HJ. A) 27° B)35.5° C) 44° D)125°

OpenStudy (chriss):

I haven't done a problem like that in many years. I will look it up though, and maybe while I'm doing that someone will pop in that knows how to do it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay , thank you for your help

OpenStudy (chriss):

ok, here's what I found. The angle is 1/2 the difference between the two arcs. Since we have the actual angle, but only the biggest of the two arcs, we have to set up an algebraic formula to get the smaller arc... \[27=\frac{1}{2}(98-x)\] \[27=49-\frac{1}{2}x\] \[-22=-\frac{1}{2}x\] 44=x So the answer is C.
