what unit would you use you want to know the acceleration of a car that it's mass 1000 and force of 4000 the accelerationn will be 4 (what unit is used here)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*if you want

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Generally if the units aren't specified, I would assume SI units are being used. This is NOT always the case though - for example, Americans tend to use feet and miles etc. So the mass should be 1000kg, the force 4000 Newtons, and the acceleration 4 metres/second.

wont it differ since the object is a car?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No? There's no reason units would differ for any particular object in regards to its relative motion. Don't fall into the trap of assuming that because it's a car, it's going to km/hr (or miles/hr), since that's what the car's instrumentation measures in.

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No worries =)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mass is in Kg and acceleration is in \[m/s ^{2}\] although I'm sure fewsrewsmissing meant that anyway :-)
