find the x and y intercepts of the equation -x – 3y = 9 -x -3•0 = 9 -x = 9 -1x -1 = 9 ÷ -1 x = -9 (-9,0) -1(0) - 3y = 9 -3y = 9 -3y ÷ -3 = 9 -3 y = -3 (0,-3) Can anyone tell me if I did this correctly and if not where my mistake is?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

You have the correct x and y intercepts. The x intercept is (-9,0) and the y intercept is (0, -3)
