Which is the longer trip from Earth, a one-way trip to Mars or a round-trip to Venus? Then theres a chat, and it goes from AVERAGE DISTANCES FROM EARTH- Mars -97/186 Venus - 0.2774

It depends on their position in their orbits. The closest Venus comes to Earth is 3.8*10^7km and the furthest 2.61*10^8km, so an average would be about 1.50*10^8km. Mars, the average is about 2.25*10^8km. This makes a round-trip to Venus - assuming you travel in a straight line, Venus stays put and you go to its edge and come straight back - about 3*10^8km, making it longer than the average distance to Mars.
