lets say something costs 100 dollars. if there is 6% sales tax then you multiply the 100 by 6/100 = 6 dollars. 6 dollars is your sales tax, 106 is your total. Lets say something costs 100 dollars. there is a 10% discount on it, therefore you multiply 100 by 10/100 and get 10. You then subtract 100-10 (the discount) and the price is 90.
Why do run-on sentences always make it seem like the person is panicking?
when calculating discounts you take the price and multiply it by the discount percentage then subtract it to the original price when calculating sales tax you take the original price and multiply it by the sales tax then add it to the original price
thanks u gys
In general, if x is the original price, then: x - %x = sales price.
any examples? will help srry im an audio learner so i wont learn like this but my other way of learning without listening is examples plz provide examples
I gave 2 examples.
Sorry, I was going to give an example, but started having computer trouble.
Suppose the original price of a coat is $120 and The Coat Factory is selling it at a 25% discount. The sales price would then be: 120 - .25(120) = sales price 120 - 30 = sales price 90 = sales price Therefore, the sales price is $90.
