What does it mean to solve a definite integral numerically? How does it differ from using antiderivatives?

hero (hero):

rld, I know that's your discussion question. You should be trying to understand this on your own :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

LOL It isnt

hero (hero):

I guess tutor.com couldn't explain it well enough

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just wanted to understand how to solve s/t but whtvr

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I didnt ask them but sometimes ppl on here know the answers more than tutor.com

hero (hero):

I think you should try tutor.com first, but I know why you don't like going there. Because they will make you think. Here on OS you can be lazy.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my book told me to check my answers using a munerical method and i dont know what that means

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*numerical

hero (hero):

The book should have explained it to you. I don't know why the book would ask you to do something that it hasn't explained conceptually

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk but i think i am just gonna ignore that part lol

hero (hero):

"I'm just going to ignore that part." ...But ignorance is the reasons why kingdoms fall

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I will just use a calc for this
