Hello, I'm trying to find a myth about Hephaestus. I have a project on it and I would appreciate any information about a good myth that doesn't include the one stated in the Odyssey. If you don't know which myth I'm talking about, it's the one when Hephaestus catches Aphrodite laying with another god and throws a chain net about them. Thanks in advance,

If it helps, the project that I have to do is take a myth about Hephaestus and turn it into a kid's story book. It has to be eight pages with about two to three sentences per page. If anyone could find a good myth about him that could fit with what I have to do, I'd be indebted to them.

So a kid's book to me usually means photos. Are you concerned because you won't have enough sentences or will have too many?

What I've been trying to do is find a myth that isn't incredibly short so that I could turn it into a kid's book... all the myths I've found so far are a few sentences at most.

Hmm, I think I might have a way of making it 24 sentences or more. If I combine the myths of his birth, his exile and his revenge on his mother I might have just what the rubric says.
The only thing that I think may be a bit sketchy is that I'm combining multiple myths.

yep! Now, the only thing that might be iffy is keeping the exile and revenge myths kid appropriate. That's why I suggested the fire and Pandora myths. THose are pretty well known.

I think it'd be doable, if you combined birth and prometheous and pandora. those might be more child friendly? or being cast from heaven by hera and being adopted.
