Fml, I am just not having any luck with these today. They are not all on the same hmwrk page, I have more than one page to do and these are just the ones I am confused on. Which system has a solution in which the x value is greater than 1?
It says that the answer choices are: A. y = 3x + 2 and y = 3x - 3 B. y = -2/3 x and y = -1/4 x + 1 C. y = 3x + 2 and y = -1/4 x + 1 D. y = 3x - 3 and y = -1/4 x + 1
ok, you know what solution mean graphically?
No. :/
when two line intersect , the point of intersection is solution
I don't get it. :/
|dw:1327004721730:dw| that point is soloution
Oh. So then what do I do next?
look, in your diagram , and look for those intersection points
"Which system has a solution in which the x value is greater than 1? " intersection point that is right of x=1 is your answer
So which answer choice would that be then? Uhg this stuff just doesn't click in my head. :( I'm sorry for being a pain.
look at the attacted picture, which color point is right of x=1?
y = -1/4 x + 1
right, the black one it is where y=-1/4x +1 and y=3x-3 meet
