can someone please help me on this one? solve each system graphically: 2x − 3y = 6, 3y − 2x = −6 I forgot how to do this.

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

put both equations in y=mx+b format, draw them find where thy cross each other

ok is that it? I forgot how to do this

Well, if they want you to solve it graphically, it sounds like they want you to draw both of the lines on the same graph and find out where they intersect. Remember, when you are looking for a solution to two lines, three things can happen: 1. You find exactly one solution (they intersect). 2. You find infinitely many solutions (they are the exact same line and they overlap). 3. You find no solutions (the lines are parallel). More likely than not, it will be case 1. So, first you want to rearrange each equation so they are in the form y = mx+b Then you can plot them and find out graphically at what point they intersect. The x value of the point of intersection will be the solution for x. The y value of the point of intersection will be the solution for y. To check your answer, you can always solve the system by hand.
