I'm afraid you can't really even say that the electron is orbiting the nucleus, at least not in the traditional sense. They exist in orbitals, which are often referred to as the "electron cloud" for lack of a better term, though this isn't really accurate. The electron itself is not an extended object. Instead, the "cloud" is really a probability density, which represents the likelihood that the electron will be found at certain points in space.
