....thats the solution. therefore there's one solution...... a system means here are 2 variables x and y. find a value for x and y so both equations are true :)

yes. the problem isnt the answer though. it's do you understand WHY?

Because you have to find a value for x and y so that both equations can be true. And then that becomes one solution.

yes :). now how do you get infinite and no solution then?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To get infinite solutions, it's going to have different answers and for no solution it's going to equal 0.
