What is the value of x in QRST https://www.connexus.com/content/media/456845-1282011-25831-PM-233384529.png

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x = 4 (again assuming that the quadrilateral is a parallelogram as it appears to be visually).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i do not know what the shape of the quadrilateral is it does seem "to scale" more information is needed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How can x be negative????????? It is length for god's sake.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Please don't argue this point on this particular problem. This problem is giving x as a variable representing length. It can't be negative.

OpenStudy (ash2326):

if we assume it's a parallelogram then 3x=12 and 8= 2x it has to satisfy the other equation also 3x+12=8+2x can't be satisfied simultaneously

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why does 3x+12 = 8 + 2x??? Who said the diagonals of the parallelogram are equal???

OpenStudy (ash2326):

sorry , they aren't equal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Whoops. You are right. 8=2x AND 3x=12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you! It is not my purpose to prove I am right. But, to not confuse the person asking the question.
