you can either just take 3^2, then 9^4 then that answer and square it since you work from inside the parenthesis to the outside or also if it were a variable whenever an exponent is raised to an exponent the two are multiplied for example \[x ^{n}^{m}\] is the same as x ^{m x n} so with yours 3^2^4^2 = 3^(2x4x2) or 3^(16)

\[3^{2 \cdot 4 \cdot 2}\] then get what both of those guys got
