how do you find the area of a polygon with the given vertices: (-3,0)(-1,0)(-2,3)(-2,-2)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i spose it aint a pretty one; kinda bent up and twisted too

OpenStudy (amistre64):

(-3,0)(-1,0)(-2,3)(-2,-2) (2,2) (2,2) (2,2) (2,2) ---------------------- (-1,2) (1,2) (0,5) (0,0) heres one thats got a vertex on the origin, might be easier to see

we gots 2 tris; each with a base 5 and a height of 1 area tri = bh/2 = 5(1)/2 and we gots 2 of them so id say 5

OpenStudy (amistre64):

with any luck, that made sense :)
