How do I find the plotting points of this equation. Show all work.

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

for any x you wish to plot, substitute x= that, into your equation to find its corresponding y value

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o crap might help if I add the equation huh? y=2x-1

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

so for example if you want to find the y value for x=1, just sub in x=1. y=2(1)-1 y=2-1 =1 so a point of the graph is (1,1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok I am having to graph the following equation using the method of plotting points so would (1,1) be the only plotting point

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do I graph it

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

well try a few points let x = -2,-1,0,1,2 and find the y coordinates for each, then plot each on a graph and connect the dots
