No, not exactly. So you're trying to figure out if g and k are positive or negative. So you're right, g would be negative. so that eliminates two answers, C & D, right?

now, when you multiply two negatives together, is it postitive or negative? Based on that, which is the answer?

1) when two negative terms are added, they remain negative. 2) when two negative terms are multiplied/divided, they become positive. 3) when two negative terms are subtracted, then it depends which one is larger .
