OpenStudy (anonymous):

what if you have one midpoint and one endpoint then how do u solve the equation how do u find the other endpoint

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You put it like this: \[(x, y)=((x1+x2)/2,(y1+y2)/2)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so if we know the midpoint, then multiply the coordinates of the midpoint by 2 (as it is the average of the two endpoints) and subtract the coordinates from the set of endpoints that we know.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sry, i meant subtract the end points coordinates from the doubled midpoint coordinates. ex. midpoint(2,3) endpoint (4, 5) 4-4=0 6-5=1 other endpoint is (0,1)
