in simple harmonic motion "v" is the velocity and "a" is the accleleration. can any one tell why when velocity is maximum acceleration is minimum??

i read in book there it is given some options in which this staement is said to be correct

it depends on the situation. look at this equation, a = y''(t) = - ω2A cos(ωt - φ) acceleration can be maximum here when argument of the cosine is -1 or 1 then max acceleration is given as, ±ω2A
it is not ever true that acceleration is min and velocity is max. if you ask for specific condition then it could be true.
you can easily see or notice or imagine that whenever force is applied it's opposite to the direction of motion of the object. Presence of force implies acceleration no because negative force works on the object, the acceleration must be negative too and the only maximum we get is when acceleration is zero for the velocity of the object i.e it's natural position.
but when an obecjt moves from mean to extreme the direction of "a" and V is different but when returns from extreme to mean the direction were same too,.. how can u say that @shayaan
