OpenStudy (anonymous):
type a number use the slash mark then type the other # example 2/9
OpenStudy (rogue):
No, not like that.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
\frac{ numerator }{ denominator}
OpenStudy (anonymous):
but it needs to be enclosed in brackets like this: \[

And then closed with brackets like this \]
OpenStudy (rogue):
Is that in the equations editor?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Yes
OpenStudy (anonymous):
So if I type \ [ \frac{ 3 }{ 4} \ ] without the spaces, I get
\[\frac{3}{4} \]
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I typed frac {2}3
\[\frac {2}3 \]

You need to type
\*[ \frac{2}{3} \*] without the *s
OpenStudy (anonymous):
where is the first symbol on the keyboard.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
On a standard qwerty keyboard it's above the enter key
OpenStudy (anonymous):

see it did not work idk how to do it.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
You only need to type the outer brackets \ [ once. and then you need to type numbers after the \frac.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
\[ [\frac{2}{3}] \]
OpenStudy (anonymous):
or using the \left and \right style brackets,
\[ \left[ \frac{2}{3} \right] \]
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I need to do those?
