how would you graph the equation y = 2x + 3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mark a point on +3 on the y-axis, then count out one unit horizontally and two units vertically and make another point there. Then join the points.

If you wanted to know the x-intercept, simply set y=0 and solve: \[0=2x+3\] to get x = -3/2
