been a while since I took chemistry but I would say a 1ml pipette since the uncertainty is lower

I also thought a 10 ml pipette would be better. but it was confusing to me too.

According to one particular brand, actually the 10ml pipette has a better relative accuracy and precision (0.6% and 0.3%) than a 1ml pipetter (0.75/0.5%). So repeating 10 times will definitely increase the worst case error, although one can argue that the error does not increase 10 times, only in the worst case. Since 1ml of water weighs 1 gram, you could weigh it out on a balance if you wanted to.
