I'm writing a paper in APA style. Once of the periodical numbers puts an R before the page numbers (for example, R1430-R1440). Do I include the R when adding this reference to my references list?

Yes. How ever the periodical pages are numbered, you keep that the same in your citations and reference entries. A common example of a periodical with strange page numbers is the newspaper (A1...B1...etc). So a reference entry would go:

Killman, A. (2011, December, 3). Council member arrested in shooting. The Fresno Bee, pp. A1-A2, A15.

and the citation would go:

Killman (2011) states, "Authorities arrived on the scene and arrested Jenkins" (pp. A1-A2, A15).

In this particular example the article in question appears on page 1, 2, and 15 of section A of the newspaper. You can probably see that if I removed the A and someone picked up the B section and started looking for the article they would be out of luck.

So yes. Use the page numbers as they appear (R119, B3, 12/345, etc.)
