Sinusoidal functions tie into Sin, Tan, and Cos, right?
sin
only sin? i'm just learning it lol so all these different functions are kinda confusing... ok thanks.
yeah, do you have any specific question though?
State the amplitude, period, vertical shift, phase shift, and reflection for the sinusoid y = -2 sin (2x - p/4) - 3. i know how to find the amplitude, and there is a v.s of 3 down. the other ones i'm not sure on
reflection not sure but phase shift should be 1, and period is pi
f ( x ) = a sin ( bx – c ) + d, for b > 0. period= 2pi/b phase shift = c/b I'll see if I can find something on reflection, been awhile since I've done this stuff
ok cool. any sites that explain in depth will help alot :) i'm more of an english than a math person... thanx!
never mind, phase shift is pi/8 I wasn't thinking... haven't really found anything that explains reflection to me sorry ....
http://dwb4.unl.edu/chem/chem869m/chem869mmats/sinusoidalfns.html this site explains the reflection, and the rest very well at the bottom of the page!
ooh ok thanks. this site helps alot! yay lol
