Finding the area of polar coordinates: One petal of r = cos 5 theta. I know how to compute the area, I just need to check if I've got the correct limits. I got pi/2 and zero.

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

you only need area of 1 petal? does it matter which one

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

i think its 0 to pi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its just one petal.

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

ok for 1 petal we need the limits to give r=0 or cos(5x) =0 cos is 0 when angle is n*pi/2, n is odd 5x = pi/2 --> x = pi/10 5x = 3pi/2 --> x = 3pi/10 i think you limits should be pi/10 to 3pi/10
