-9y^2(-4y^9)

OpenStudy (waheguru):

simplify???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no it uses exponents

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

split this into parts and then combine. so first work out -9(-4) then work out \(y^2(y^9)\) then multiply the two results together. for exponents remember the rule:\[x^a*x^b=x^{a+b}\]

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

does this make sense to you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kinda

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

I can explain more to you if you want - just let me know which bit troubles you the most
