How do you graph the function f(x)= -1/2x^3?

OpenStudy (barrycarter):

Start with a table of values. Note that f(x) goes to infinity when x goes to 0 (assuming you meant -1/(2x^3) instead of what you wrote), so there will be an asymptote as x->0 (which is the y axis)

Sorry. It's (1/2)x^3.

OpenStudy (barrycarter):

OK, same advice, but no asymptote. http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=x^3%2F2

You can also use a program called winplot Download it, it's free, and it helps with giving you the zero's, intercepts and what not.
