according to the problem it should be attempted by the ratio test
the x value won't change since y = 5 is a line parallel to the x-axis... the point is 2 units about the line... so y' is 2 units below the line.... Hence the coordinates of A' is (2, 1)
The ratio test and the root test are two different things: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ratio_test
well the correct way to do it is to plat the point, draw the line... draw a perpendicular to line line and through he point produced... then measure
