PLEASE HELP MEE I"M SOO STUCK!! :(
If an arrow is shot upwards on a certain planet with a velocity of 55m/s, its height in meters after t seconds is given by h =55t-0.04t^2. Find the average velocity of the arrow over the interval [1,1.04]. round to four decimials.
avg of a function is \[\frac{\int\limits_{a}^{b} f(t)dt}{\int\limits_{a}^{b}dt}\]
how though i know that you use the equation of f (a-h)-f(x) all over h
look at other post
neither one makes sense
Find the average velocity of the arrow over the interval [1,1.04]. round to four decimials. to find the average velocity find how far the arrow moved between time=1 and time=1.04 then divide by the time (1 - 1.04 = 0.04 seconds) the equation tells you where the arrow is at any time. so find h when t=1 then find h when t= 1.04 the difference is how far it traveled.
I think you want the difference quotient which is, \[\frac{f(x+h)-f(x)}{h}, \frac{f(1.04)-f(1)}{.04}\] you had f(x-h)
THank you!!!! RICKJBR THAT IS WHAT I WANTED!!!!!
