A frog leaps vertically into the air and encounters no appreciable air resistance. Which is true about frog's motion? A.On the way up its acceleration is 9.8m/s^2 upward, and on the way down its acceleration is 9.8downward. B.On the way up and on the way down its acceleration is 9.8m/s^2 downward, and at the highest point its acceleration is zero. C.On the way up, on the way down, and at the highest point its acceleration is 9.8m/s^2 downward.
C
can you please explain air resistance
The air resistance is simply stating that you don't have to worry about anything other than the rate of speed of a falling object.
Because in real life physics, there are many other things that effect the rate of speed at which an object falls, such as the air resistance, the book or teacher simply threw that in there to let you know you can ignore such factors.
would someone kindly explain why the answer is c
Gravitational acceleration is always constant and pointing toward Earth, only the speed of a falling object changes. If the acceleration were 0 at the top, the coin would float in the air.
thanks
