a steel tape measure calibriated for use @ 20C will yield length in error for 30 C. would we need to reduce or increase the lengths measured @ 30 C. please explain
I woudl assume you would need to decrease the length of measurments taken from a tape measure calabriated for a tempature that is lower than the enviornment that you are taking the measurements in.
i thought so too but it is increase
well thats kinda strange, I have never ran into a problem like that. I was just doing my best to reason it out.
thank you. quick question do you know if in standard deviation we keep units
yes it should be the same unit as your mean. or x-bar depending on what formula you are using.
what about deviation
yea I would keep units for anything you do in chemistry class.
thank you
anytime.
