how do you find the surface area of a 3-d figure
Find the area of each surface then add them up
Use surface integrals
it shows it in a format that you would find volume with though.
If you know radial distribution of the surface integration in spherical coordinates would work wonders
im only a 7th grader i dont really understand any of that
I assume then you are trying to find the surface area of a cylinder, cube, cone, sphere, or some other geometric object. We have formulas that we can use to find the surface area....which do you want to know?
rectangle prisms/ cubes/ triangular prisms
you will need to add the lateral area which is the area of the faces and the area of the base for the prisms... the area of the cubes will be the area of one face times 6.
do you have a specific question with edge lengths?
b=8x5 the three numbers are 8 5 and 6
can you give me a numerical equation for that?
ok, just a sec
thank you
2x(LxW)+2x(LxH)+2x(WxH) 2x(8x5)+2x(8x6)+2x(5x6)
2x40+2x48+2x30= 80+96+60= 236
so if a cube had edges of nine in it would be 9x9x2 twice?
in.*
or 9x9x6?
9x9x6
ok.
you have top and bottom left and right front and back
sure, no problem.
