Within the Quantum "tree" I was unable to find a reference to David Bohm who has made substantial contributions to the ontological interpretations of Quantum Theory. Isthere a reason for this? - tom

what do you mean by quantum tree?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this tree: http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/hframe.html I was referring to the quantum section of HP. The is a list of author's and references .. but it does not contain any reference to David Bohm ..who has made substantial contributions in this field .. ie and giving important but different interrpretation to the Bohm interrpretation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

He did contribute to QM, and for that is remembered. But the philosophical aspects are not part of the QM... since whatever your stance you use the theory anyways.

The wave-particle duality is real (you can measure that property)... but the interpretation of the QM formalisms are more philosophy than tested true.

ok ... thanks for the quick answer - tom

Whether Bohm has made substantial contributions is a matter of some debate.
