patrial derivatives of: f(x,y,z) = xSin(y-z)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got these answers and want to check to see if they are right: WRT X = xcos(y-z) + sin(y-z) WRT Y = xcos(y-z) WRT Z = -xcos(y-z)

OpenStudy (turingtest):

the second and third are right the first is wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sin(y-z)

OpenStudy (turingtest):

if y and z are constant, then sin(y-z) is a constant, so this is like d/dx(xK)=K

OpenStudy (anonymous):

preeeeeecisely.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it's just sin(y-z)?

OpenStudy (turingtest):

yep
