plz explain this!
-(absolute value of a) is less than (a) which is less than (absolute value of a).
\[-|a|\le a \le|a|\]
this has confused me for 6 months now?
-(absolute value of a) is less than or equal to a which is less than or equal to (absolute value of a). if u put in a=1 it would come out as -1<1<1(I cant type less than or equal to signs).

there is "equal or greater than" symbol, so i think it's correct. .
it is correct because -1<1 and 1=1 so it works
what if a was -1 ????
-|-1|≤-1≤|-1| -1≤-1≤1
−|a|≤a≤|a| is the correct one
