For a triangle with sides a, b and c, what is the range of the length of side c? a = 418, b = 222, c =

I'm pretty sure that you're supposed to use Pythagorean Theorem on that problem. Pythagorean Theorem is: www.mathsisfun.com/pythagoras.html

yeah thats the thing idk what theorem i suppose to use idk if its that or the corollary

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Using the side inequality of triangles which says that the sum of any two sides of a triangle is greater than the third side a+b > c => 418 + 222 > c => 640 > c So we can say that c < 640 Also, the difference of two sides of a triangle is less than the third side so a - b < c => 418 - 222 < c => 196 < c So 196 < c < 640
