OpenStudy (anonymous):
depends on the numbers and other signs in between... *facepalm*

Well that changes things, because you are no longer subtracting one negative number from another.
OpenStudy (jagatuba):
You have multiplication and exponents to deal with.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
we don't need 5 ppl for this question.. so ima leave this one to u guys
OpenStudy (jagatuba):
Are you try to solve for x?
OpenStudy (anonymous):

no only - or +
OpenStudy (anonymous):
heres is other one \[4x^1+14x^1\]
OpenStudy (jagatuba):
Then the answer would be (for the first one)\[-11x ^{2}+\left( -9x ^{2} \right)\rightarrow-11x ^{2} -9x ^{2} \rightarrow-20x ^{2}\] therefore the anser would be negative.
Now try the same process on the second one and see if you can figure it out.
