Magic 11's WHY??

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is binomal exp. is not it..

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

actual row is binomials..

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

The function f(x)=6.75sqrt{x}+12 models the amount, f(x), in billions of dollars of new student loans x years after 1993. According to the model, in what year is the amount loaned expected to reach $25.5 billion?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Unkle I need some help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

\[f(x)=6.75\sqrt{x}+12\] \[f(1)=6.75+12=18.75\] \[f(2)=6.75\sqrt{2}+12=21.54\] \[f(3)=6.75\sqrt{3}+12=23.69\] \[f(4)=6.75\sqrt{4}+12=25.5\] so that is 4 years after 1993 hence 1994

Do you know about pascal triangle?

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

if i could add i would have said = 1997

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is god ref: http://ptri1.tripod.com/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because there is no explanation, it's an awesome coincidence.

Scott set up a volleyball net in his backyard. One of the poles, which forms a right angle with ground, is 7feet high. To secure the pole, he attached a rope from the top of the pole to a stake 9 feet from the bottom of the pole. To the nearest tenth of a foot, find the length of the rope.

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

coincidence in mathematics ? i think not
