please help me i do not get this at all. Think about additional similarities and differences between Of Mice and Men and the Declaration of Independence when it comes to freedom and confinement. What specific freedoms do George, Lennie and the colonists desire? What types of social, political, philosophical, or financial limitations confine their choices? Make sure you use specific instances from both texts to support your answer. Write two paragraphs to address the questions above.

A few considerations that relate G&L's struggle to that of the colonists: -the independence from others that George and Lennie seek (living off of the land, relying only on each other, working for themselves, etc. Much of this is in Ch.1) -the resentment George sometimes feels for being responsible for someone else's (Lennie's) actions -how there's a lot of "frontier justice" and lack of external authority (shooting dogs, and even people, once their usefulness expires) -loneliness -poverty and engagement in temporary agricultural work just to scrape by -a vision of a better future Just think: "Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness." Isn't that what both of these texts are about?
