Integral: (sec x)^4(tanx)^2 dx

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

i would substitute here u = tan x du = sec^2 x dx then sec^2 will cancel leaving sec^2 on top note: sec^2 = 1+tan^2 --> integral u^2(1+u^2) du
