OpenStudy (kunal):

how does matter wave look like?

OpenStudy (jamesj):

This concept from Quantum Mechanics, like so many others, is hard to visualize in terms of everyday things. I suggest instead of trying to imagine what it looks like, study hard what it means for a matter to have a deBroglie wave form and how it interacts with other matter, energy and forces. That's how you develop an intuition in QM.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If I understand correctly, physics is naturally going to be unintuitive because we're dealing with subject matters at levels beyond what our language and natural understanding operates at. After all, we only have visualizations for particles and waves separately. That's why a lot of things in science are defined by properties and observations; so, instead of, "This is a wave," it's said, "This behaves like a wave when..."

So, in short, exactly what JamesJ said. XD

OpenStudy (kunal):

hey guys i think i got the answer................matter waves are actually are actually like roads on which particles move............isnt it??
