Suppose the vertices of a triangle are (-3,4), (0,-2), and (-6, 1). Is this a scalene, isosceles, or an equilateral triangle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do I find the distance between the points to figure this out? What if I get a radical?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes you would find the length of each side (distance between points) and from there you should be able to figure out what triangle it is.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe it is a scalene with the sides being sqrt(37), sqrt(45), and sqrt(34)
