Im sure its easy, im just not seeing it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you supposed to find the area of the smaller triangle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ratio of the side is \[\frac{12}{16}=\frac{3}{4}\] so ratio of the areas will be \[\frac{3^2}{4^2}=\frac{9}{16}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{9}{16}=\frac{x}{105}\] \[x=\frac{105\times 9}{16}\] then a calculator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im not sure.. It my teacher just said do those problems
