Since this site is linked to u-s-history.com wanted to know who made the site?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why is it important

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its import to me cause Ive used a lot of stuff off this for a paper I've been doing for 2 weeks and I need Credibility to make anything I've used from site to be credible to even be used

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And I need the Credibility site I liked not openstudy.com

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok then ddo you know what it is called

OpenStudy (anonymous):

have you been there on the computer you r useing before if so i can help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The site is www.u-s-history.com the fact of the matter if I can't find any Credibility to this site plus who the person righting it or I'm going to have to pull off all info I've pulled from this site and yes I've been to the site from this computer many of times in the last few weeks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that site does have an about button but it is almost worthless online highway llc...not helpful. They don't have citations in their articles, and no specific author. But on the other hand - the article on the Stamp Act Congress doesn't raise any early alarms.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

iv'e been using wiki for the report i'm doing its been useful to me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would treat it like any other source. You don't have to get rid of all the info you got from there. And hopefully, you are not arguing from authority in the first place. You can balance your finding with information from more authoritative sources. It might even get you a chance to point out where sources diverge. And wiki for any kind of scholarly work should just be used for the citations...wiki has all kinds of problems with history. Specifically, it has trouble with information that is in dispute. Wiki doesn't have a good way of dealing with differences of opinion.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya I'm a history major doing a infomation speech on great chicago fire and I know all info on this site is right but I need to cite who righting it and is it Credibility for people listen to speech so they can go to site because any joe can be righing this stuff.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

****whos writing this stuff tpye while the phone got me talking like a stooge

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i am doing a 500 word report on john Hanwingspan

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and ya I got to say wiki a bad place to go because when you look at cite there like 20 plus different cite in term send you on a wild gosh chase to find where that person really read it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For an online history site, my go to is loc.gov Is it Cronon who has the big book of Chicago History? As long as you are not finding discrepancies in the two sources I am ok with citing a website who could be anyone ...anyone with good history is as good as some dude from harvard writing good stuff who are both better than someone from harvard writing crud H_a_n-c-o-c-k is a naughty word on this site hehe

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya I used Loc.gov too myself because what I was using for info cite loc.gov but in citation of it really never found where it was read so site could let me find it and just cite loc.gov myself instead of u-s-history.com

OpenStudy (anonymous):

exactly...I think...ok I have my own paper to write: lab report luck on Chicago and that wingspan guy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks a bunch
