I need a step by step to solving this integration problem: (-x^8+4)^6(x^7) dx

OpenStudy (kainui):

Try using u-substitution and set -x^8+4 equal to u. You should get an integral that lookks like 1/-7Su^6du

OpenStudy (cristiann):

You should start by noting that since (-x^8+4) has degree 8, its derivative will be of degree 7 ... so ... just rewrite x^7 as the derivative: x^7=-(1/8)(-x^8+4)' then use what Kaiuni said

OpenStudy (cristiann):

Sorry ... Kainui ...
