x^2 + 11x + 24 x^2+3x + 8x + 24 x(x+3)+8(x+3) (x+3)(x+8)

Alright the way to factor x^2+11x+24 is to look at the exponent of the x. Since it says x^2, you can say that it is the same thing as multiplying x by x. So, we can now say that it is going to be (x )(x ). Because we know that we are adding, we know that you will be adding in both of the factors. So now it is going to be (x+ )(x+ ). We must now think of two numbers that go into 24 and add up to 11. Those two numbers would be 8 and 3. So, now we can plug those two numbers into the factors. After doing that, you will have it factored out to be (x+8)(x+3) which is the same thing as C.
