physics circuit for those who know Kirchoffs law

OpenStudy (wasiqss):

OpenStudy (turingtest):

I got class, I'll have to check it after

OpenStudy (wasiqss):

ok bt dont forget

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you want to find?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

voltages through each resistor?

OpenStudy (wasiqss):

yup

OpenStudy (jamesj):

Have you tried writing out the equations for each loop? If you do, you'll end up with a system of linear equations. Then you (just!) have to solve them.

OpenStudy (wasiqss):

james im confused bout how to make equation plz help me do that

OpenStudy (wasiqss):

lalaly have any idea ?

OpenStudy (lalaly):

start with the v4 -8+7+v4=0 v4=8-7=1V now v2 -v4+6-v2=0 -1+6-v2=0 v2=5V V3 -6+v3-5=0 v3=11V v1 -7+v1-v3=0 -7+v1-11=0 v1=18V

OpenStudy (wasiqss):

plz can u make me understand how did u get equation

OpenStudy (lalaly):

ok u have four closed loops right?

OpenStudy (wasiqss):

yup

OpenStudy (lalaly):

and what does kirchoffs voltage law say?

OpenStudy (wasiqss):

voltage around closed loop =0

OpenStudy (wasiqss):

so how to evaluate the v4 loop

OpenStudy (lalaly):

yeah so for the first loop on the left u have the 8V 7V and V4, now go around that loop clockwise for example, from the 8V , when u hit a negative sign in any voltage its - like for 8v -8 then when u go through the 7 u hit the positive so its +7 and for the resistor positive so +v4 ... and then take the sum=0

OpenStudy (wasiqss):

i cant understand the sign of v4 how did u evaluate that plz can u draw
